Smart City Strategy Launched
Chiro City Administration adopts its 10-year Smart City Strategy with 5 core pillars.
2020
First IoT Sensors Deployed
200 air quality and traffic sensors installed across the city centre and main roads.
2021
Digital Resident Portal Launched
Online portal launched with 15 digital services, reaching 20,000 users in the first year.
2023
Electric Bus Fleet & Bike Share
First 20 electric buses and 90-station bike share network launched across the city.
2024
Open Data Platform
200+ datasets published publicly — transport, environment, demographics, and economy.
2025
Phase II — 1,240 Sensors Active
500 new sensors bring full smart coverage to all 47 districts. Portal reaches 100K users.
